Get on Ebay, buy a new LCD screen for your laptop, put it in. It'll be less than $100 for most models. You don't need a warrantee to get your screen fixed.

I was thinking the same thing, if you take the screen apart get the part number for it, then you should be able to find it on ebay. Go ahead and buy a new cable for it too, and an inverter since you will have it apart, as those items go out frequently as well. All told probably looking at $200 and maybe 3 hours of work on it. Replacing the LCD is fairly easy once you get the thing apart.

Crap!!! Bout lost my trk...twice...within 2 miles in Albert lea, MN. Came off of 1 90 onto I 35 S and was doing about 45. Did the little shimmy and thought to myself, better slow down some more. Did another shimmy at about 30. Glad I was pulling into the trk stop at the next xt cause that road was dang sure slick!!!

I would get the cable and inverter and replace them as well since you will have the laptop apart. The cable which goes from the screen to the motherboard goes out frequently due to opening and closing the lid, plus the vibration in the truck. The inverter, is what most commonly causes the LCD not to work they too go out frequently. Like I said, since you will have it apart anyway, just replace them as well. Do it once then you won't have to worry about it.

That happens a lot sometimes. I unloaded at Wal-Mart DC in Olney IL went to their Super center up on 130. I have to take a 34 and was going to drive to I57 to the pilot at Ext 95 but then decided I was to lazy to drive anymore so now I'm sitting at the Red Rooster Truck Stop. Its not a bad place. Not a lot of parking but I have a place to sit and eat and if I really felt adventurous I could walk around town a bit lol. Don't know if I will do that but I'm good for now lol.
