Distracted driving at its best through the truck wash! Can someone explain the new HOS rule proposal to me about the restarts? It seems more complicated.

I think they changed it without changing it.
They kept the number at 34, but this just is for looks as a minimum.
Since you have to have 2 periods between 0000-0600.
So since this is the case from Midnight Monday to 0600 Tuesday is 30 hours.
If you start it at 1200 noon on Monday, before your restart would have been done at 2200 on Tuesday. Now it cannot be done till 0600 Wednesday. So it will be a 42 hour in that case.
If you start it at 0100 Monday it will go till 0600 Wednesday. Which is 53 hours.
So basically now your resets can be anywhere from 34 hours to 53 hours and 59 min.
Not really happy about that.
Most of mine start at around 0400 on Saturday and go till Monday morning anyway, but I rather have more of an option.
So are you more confused now? LOL -
I think on I'm gonna start driving 8.5 hrs a day so I don't have to deal with it. Lol
-
Look what I found at WVDC! Apparently we can lease Pete 389s starting in Aug 2011.
-
And that one already has an APU on it.
That may help you to get 6.7 mpg out of a brick.
They are pretty though. -
No, that is the DEF tank. I did see a new prostar today with some sort of Apu condensation fan in the sidebox. The 389 is $600/ week.
-
You do know that they have "people" showers, with hot water and everything......right?
-
Know I'm confused as heck. Think I'll do like Mikely and drive 8.75
-
Not at WVDC, you are lucky if the water gets warm!
-
ok... rookie question... what is WVDC?
