They are loads that are too much for a solo driver that a team refuses because not enough miles. The solo driver has a very slim chance of making on time delivery.... ex 1000 miles in 24 hrs.

I am curious, what determines where you go to train? I live in Kentucky, why aren't they sending us to Ga. instead of SLC?
Random thought, ya'll should get a kick out of...I was told since we're gonna be team drivers we will be sent out with a trainer as a team. That should make for some close encounters! -
So do we have an option to decline certain deliveries?
-
Only lease Op's can decline.
When you learn your messages for the qualcom you will see that they have an accept dispatch message, but no decline message.
If you say no as a company driver you had better have a really good reason. And be able to back it up. -
Ok I give, whats the TDA classes and why is there a gap of a week until you start your schooling?
We'll be in SLC on Jan.17th
Thanks in advance! -
Thanks Chome!

Ah <light bulb moment> Thanks - I don't think (as a team) there will many runs we will refuse - we want the wheels turning - even if its not a 'large' amount. It would be more than if we were sitting there waiting for the 'right' one... or am I delusional there and just doing some wishful thinking? I'm not out there yet - so really don't have much of a clue (yet)

That is where I had my first accident also, was standing on the dock and watched a driver from canada hit the side of my sleeper, then pulled forward and backed into it a second time. The worst part was my wife was asleep in the sleeper at the time, scared the heck out of her.

As a company driver, no BUT if you complain about it to your fleet mgr enough and they get tired of hearing the complaining and give it to someone else.
-
yeah, I don't suggest turning down loads. You may be sitting a couple days waiting for the perfect load. Unless you want to play tourist in the area, then you should have pushed out your availability for your next load. Refusing without a good logical reason gets you on the planner's bad side fast!Lady K Thanks this.
