Ask them for the nearest UPS store and if they'll pay all shipping charges and yes, it is not a good idea to have the batteries in your truck if for no other reason, acid getting over everything.

Ummmmm aren't some of the medications used to keep ms in check on the list of medications you can't take as stated by dot? Just thinking. And as stated, central is only an employer so long as you are a company driver. When you sign your w9 along with all that other paperwork you now are fully responsible for your business in all manner, including futa, suta, fica, medicare, and withholdings. Not to mention whether it is your option to take their insurance, you still pay insurance, 2290, and a number of other things most people don't realize.
As far as the steers, if they measured at 50% when the truck was turned in, I would fight that, I am glad you won your deal against central. They aren't all roses, but none are. You have to go in with your eyes open, which is what this forum is all about. Trust me, right now I would love to put a stick ofd dynamite in our fuel tank a lot of the time I am so upset, but that is why we have an exit strategy in mind. -
If your on this board and your in Maquoketa, am parked behind you on the street. Looks like our breaks will end about the same time, so say hello.

Hi everyone. I am going to be calling CR today. I have had my CDL since 03 and drove OTR in 03 that was the last time. I have been driving since then but local. I have good record and medical. Do you maybe know how long school will be and driving with a trainer?
-
Well they said no like several others. This really sucks.
-
Last I knew Central is not hiring experienced drivers right now.. I was trying to get my son into Central and they said maybe next month, but do let us know if that changed..

I could not agree more. There was no reason for what they did.....My disease is fully under control. That's why I stated that they randomly suspended my driving abilities. My thought was that I knew how to run it and knew how to always make money regardless of how many miles I drove per week. My thought........they did not like someone who knew what they were doing. Its in the past now. Water under the bridge. I have friends that are still driving with them that would back my story up any day of the week!!!! Thanks for the support

Did you check out Crete (www.cretecarrier.com)?

IT WAS A RANDOM DRIVING SUSPENSION!!!!! That's what made me so mad at the whole thing. And I'm sorry to inform you, but Central paid me because the state forced them to. Besides that I'm not hear to argue. I know what happened to me and I am just warning future drivers. Thats all. Thank you for your feedback.
jess-juju Thanks this. -
Sorry to hear that Diesel but posting it in the central cheer leaders forum, your mainly going to hear how its all your fault
they really don't want to know the bad but JJ started this thread for people to tell the good the and the ugly about the company!
