It appears that you had less than a good experience with Central.

The purpose of training is to get the trainee miles and experience with driving a truck OTR. I guessed you missed that point. When the trainer pulls the truck over to sleep, it is probably because he couldn't sleep while you were driving. That is one of the many reasons that I could never train. One of the things that you get taught when you are being trained in the classroom and truck is to get enough sleep before your drive shift. I will occasionally have bouts of insomnia and will have to pull over during a night drive run for a 1-2 hour nap.

The trainer gets 2 cents less per mile while he has a student in the truck. The assumption is that he will get more miles with the student driving. The trainer is also instructed that the student does more than 50% of the driving.

Glad you were able to find another job at a different company. The huge chip you have on your shoulder was probably making you lean to the side. Let it go; the company got you your license which is what you were looking to do. No-one forced you to Central. there are a LOT of schools and training companies out there.

the way Central "uses" their drivers is no different than any other company out there. If you think otherwise you are either working for a 3 -truck company or delusional. the driver/company relationship is symbiotic by design. They help you get your license and give you a truck to drive for them. Then if you are successful you make money from your work and so do they. If you think that they don't make money from your work you belong with the protesters in NYC to protest the employers that risk their money to employ people that may kill someone with their equipment and cause them a huge loss.

Central is no better or worse than any other company, they are all out to make money as are we all. They give you an opportunity to succeed, what you choose to do with that opportunity is up to you.

You chose to move on to greener pastures; good for you. It is never pleasant for the company or the employee if one or the other is unhappy.

Look at the rest of the "training companies" out there. They all have the same problem because the larger portion of their drivers have less than 1 year of experience.

I have been kinda busy the last couple of weeks because I have been moving and then running some loads where I didn't have time to get on the comp.

I guess that this is a BASH Central site now. If you think that Central makes money by rotation people in and out of trucks you are off the mark (to say it nicely). they lose money the first year a newbie is in a truck. New people are taking trucks into the shop a lot for imaginary problems, taking too long of breaks and making loads late, not trip planning properly and making loads late, gettin into wrecks...

How does that make the company money. They rely on everyone to do their job and make them and the driver money. The better and more safe you are, the more you and they get paid and the more contracts they get; the more loads the drivers get.

Where did the sudden entitlement mentality come from?

Just quit posting here. Your input is not valuable and does more to damage the newbies than help them. you make the company out to be a real rotten place to work and full of a bunch of recruiters that are posting on here. Take your shoulder chip and go elsewhere. take the chip and put in in a bonfire.

Safety would NEVER alter your logs without YOU asking them to. They will NEVER alter drive time unless they can see that you sent a macro to change to another log line and the comp didn't accept it. the only time that safety will alter your log is if you did not put yourself on the on-duty line 4 when you fuel. They can see the time you swiped your comdata card and will give you an automatic 10min fueling time. they will also send you a message to tell you that they did it.

So stop the lies and get off this forum. I'm too old and tired of BS to read your lies anymore.

I am using a HP multifunction scanner that I paid about 25 bucks more than the one that the company sells for $100.00. go to Walmart, they have a good selection. My wife has one that is about 6 years old and can run only one page at a time and it works fine with my desktop comp at home. You might check with the HP on-line site also, they have a few deals on there right now.

If he was leasing a truck they may be after him for the unpaid lease fees till they got someone else seated in the truck. It's like a box of chocolates, you don't know what's inside till you take a bite.

If it's for school fees, the situation will be cleared up easily. I just moved from CA to NY and the wife is getting services turned on at the new digs and there were a couple of glitches because they thought I owed them money. She just told them the date and check number of the payment and they backed off.

The bulk of the bs you will hear from other drivers is lack of loads. that is usually cleared by updating your mac 6 on a daily basis. If not, send a msg to your DM and ask if they got your new mac6. If it continues, talk to the manager of the DM's, then the terminal manager. Most of the time it is a communication problem. I had a DM that I had to start using 4 letter words with and told him straight out that I thought he sucked and wanted to change. I was switched a day later. He has other drivers that love him. I guess it was a personality clash between him and I. I have been here about 2 years now and am happy and loaded until I ask for a break.
