Thanks to you guys that answered on the CDL topic. All of your answers were seriously very helpful, and will most definitely encourage me to study harder, and delve deeper into everything. It gave me a little more insight as to what it'll be like and the possible difficulty for me to pass. If there's anything else anyone else would like to throw in there, feel free! It's very helpful. Thanks guys!

unless they are deliving northbound. you won't find trucks taking the north route. we all hate that state and drive the quickest way out. WINK

    Jess,

Nazialifornia is doing everything for fuel economy. Great Dane offers them as an option and soon every trailer manufacturer will. Theres a site about transportation companies explaining what they do for fuel efficiency. I'll find it and pm you it jess.

same here....as hubby was teaching me about scaling the loads we went in for the paperwork, at the counter as he was looking over the numbers and explaining what needed to be done 2 old tymers turned around and started a conversation with us and gave us their advice on what is good, legal and things to never do and such.....the wealth of knowledge is out there if we keep humble and just ask....for the most part, the old tymers are looking to pass on their secrets and share a good conversation other than in passing on the cb......we have met life time acquaintances that way and they call us on the fone occassionally to see how and where we are.

I'm embarrassed for my state, CA taxes, CalTrans, and CARB all suck major donkey balls. Sometimes I wonder why CalTrans is fixing a section of road that wasn't all that bad and left another portion that was much worse alone...and then I remember that this is the State of California we are talking about. If you ever want to make $60,000 a year standing around watching another guy work, go work for CalTrans...they will even give you a pickup and a fuel card so that you and all your buddies can drive around in your pickups and have a CalTrans parade.

    California is so messed up...
