My main concern is central is just another trainin comapany.. They don't care about not a one of us.. Just that money.. Which is sad.
Shoot, here lately as a company driver.. I can only manage 2200 miles and I'm at 6 months and I'm dedicated mid west..
I'm thinking about going back to wal-mart.. I made more a week there then I do at crs.. Plus I always know there will be boxes of freight to put up and ill never have to worry about my box knife breakin down. -
On the antenna thing. I would go with a top load.
This way you should get out a little better with the ground plane issues on the newer trucks. I had pretty good luck with a firestick.
Make sure to buy the International mirror mount. They do not cost much more. The mirror tubing is thicker than other company's, so standard ones do not mount well. They sell at most truckstops.
JCT has an actual lease to own. At the end of the lease it is a 1.00 buyout.
Central at the end of the lease you pay market price for the truck. Well, what they say market price is. A W900 3 years old with 400k+ miles is in the current market maybe a 40 thousand dollar truck. They will charge 55 or so I would guess.
So you would have to take out a loan for that, and any over mileage banked for the truck will go towards that amount.
Central really does not want the trucks to get bought. They want them.
I looked at a prostar today. I think I can see where the water is coming in. I still think I can fix it with silicone. Not sure if I will be assigned to a prostar or 9400 tomarrow. Probibly the 9400. Though this company wants to be 100% prostar by Jan 1. -
I tried calling myself. Kept getting voicemail. Apparently I don't answer the phone!!!
Finally escaped from Texas. Headed towards Arizona. Deliver Wednesday night. Home Thursday morning, I hope!!!! 6 weeks out is too long for me! -

Day 2 is in the bag, whole buttload of practice tests so we can go take our permit test tomorrow. Iceman has earned a nickname "Shaggy" because of his goatee. Glenn is sure one awesome, funny old man of an instructor. We were talking with some guys that leave tomorrow with their trainers, we also talked with one of the yard instructors, everybody down here is down to earth and great people, but everyone also understands that we are here to become truck drivers and thats the ultimate goal for everyone. So far I am extremely happy with my decision to do this =)

well, I finally have a few free seconds, and am not so tired it is hard to keep my eyes open. after getting a cold from doing the pretrip inspection part of the drivers test in the rain, it has been hard enough to keep food in after coughing, much less throw driving in the mix. I am feeling better now. 6pak told me to make sure to mention to jess, I made it through st louis. it was raining as I approached, and started pouring after I got out of downtown. made it through though, nerves still doing good. if I could just get the shifting right on those stupid steep hills in west virginia, I might not feel so bad about my abilities. of course throw someone in a truck after maybe 6 hours of driving, then get sick, and only a few more hours, then I kill it on a steep hill. I felt like throwing in the towel for sure. lextec is doing pretty good, of course he has experience, so he isn't the typical green newbie. I just feel like a fish out of water compared to the two men in the truck. I will try to read/post as we can, but 6pak is such a slave driver, it is hard.

Like 6 even has to drive, accept to do the extra hours to deliver on time.
Slave driver lol.
You will get it. In a few weeks you will be able to run 10 hours a day. Getting use to being the night driver will take longer. Just break into that slow.
Good luckThe Challenger Thanks this.
