If you are under a load that day doesn't count as a day of hometime. So if you deliver near home say on a Sat at 2:00 am your official hometime starts on Sunday. And you could stay home til Thursday morning if you were out for a month. But really you would be home 5 days since you came in so early in the morning.

If you were to deadhead home under the same scenario would the same apply as with a delivery?
-
That I am not sure of I will ask 1bad when he calls in a little while and let you know. Or maybe someone else reading may know the answer.

i allways deadhead atleast 80 miles to get home after delivery. my rule is if i drive the truck at all that day i dont count it. no one has ever said any thing to me about it either. I hope this helps.

So i got to central sunday night i was super excited, met a few people and went to bed before ten, got up and went to orientation, was filling out all my paper work and was just happy to be there... we only had 23 in our class... i did the drug test and the Dot and the secruity screen all was looking great had to run back and meet my recruiter and get a form to send to my doctor.. and that's when it went bad ( they sent me home for a prescription... i was crushed, and 100 dollars broker.. lol i have to go see my doc and get my meds changed make sure its ok to run with central on said meds and then be off the old one for 30 days.... i am a bit upset, because everything else i did and could have passed with flying colors, as i am aware of my ability's and health.. but this was totally out of my control... and if i want to come back its another 100 down ugh!i cant decide if this was just bad luck... or fate saying i shouldn't do the one thing i have wanted to do since i was a kid....

That really sucks, sorry to hear! I was worried about my meds also but I must have lucked out for a change. It would have been nice to meet up, I'm still there (knock on wood) getting ready to take my Pre-trip inspection test tomorrow, driving test on Friday. Good Luck with what ever you decide to do.

As Iceman said I passed my pretrip first time, was working on skills today and it was the second day of driving on the road. Tomorrow the rest of the guys retake their pretrip and we get to drive on the freeway and try a bit of hill driving. So far so good for us down in Fontana!

The "Real" west coast fleet is run out of Fontana & last I checked you have to live in Cali to get on. We run I-5, 1-10, I-15, I-80 & I-84 only with the rare run out to Denver or Phoenix. I see Portland, Seattle, Boise, Sacramento / Bay area & SLC the most, with the a few runs to So. Cal mixed in.
