school is two weeks no pay then you go out with a trainer for 28 days that pays 400 a week i think it used to pay more but central droped the pay rate a couple of months ago along with everybody elses pay. i would say in your situation it would be an ok time to get into the busineess seing as how you can train and do your schooling when its slow and by the time you go solo it will have started picking back up

Finally home for a few days. Gonna catch an early turkey dinner before heading back out on Tuesday.

Apparently the problem with the KW was with a few loose battery cables. I'm thinking the previous trip over the grapevine was enough to rattle them loose enough to become disconnected. No damage to the truck other than the lower right front bumper being pushed back a little.

It was good to spend time with friends I hadn't seen for two months, time to catch a race and catch up on things you just can't do on the road.

glad to hear everthings all right after your adventure coming off the grapevine. the bumper dont llook bad in the pic. did central charge you with a accident or an incident. it would be pretty crappy of them to charge an accident to you when it was a mechanical breakdown.

good just dont let them try and put one on you they tried to put one on me the other day when i pulled out of a dock door and the rear trl door fell off. all i did was hook up pull forward and bam door falls clean off. they tried to say i hit something but there was nothing parked next to me and i didnot turn the wheel at all just pulled straight forward for 10 feet so i could go close the doors. they finally seen it my way and changed the accident to a incident

Myself, LineBacker, spork.man, and FamousOne are entering our second week of training; just getting settled in the Econolodge. Things are going pretty well, though our class is unusually large at this point with 27, making it hard to get enough backing practice. We are looking forward to the rest of today off and driving some semis tomorrow!
