Central Refrigerated Truck Stop

Well if any one was out this way would let them come to dinner with us...The Grandbabies are going too...LOL But no one ever comes to Michigan and when you do you are usually in and out. But I want to wish every one a happy and safe Thanksgiving. And one thing I want every one to know is I am thankful to everyone on this forum....Friends are hard to come by and I think you all that way. Well don't want to bore any one be safe

Thanks PH. I accidentally locked my keys at the truck stop with my car running while going to pick up a friend. So my dad had to come unlock my car. Lets just say he was in a bad mood.

Ok raise hands now, who wants to go to Bronx, NY?? Anyone, anyone? I got a load I can't do, fortunantly my DM is working friday, and he said he would help me out. I am getting real close to needing a 34hr restart, I don't even think I can make the first drop in NY. No big loss there.

 

when i get those new york lds which are usually just passing thru i pull the curtins closed and roll up in a ball in the corner of the bed and shake at the thought of even having to get close to that place. (HELL HAS NO FURRY LIKE TRAFFIC IN NEW YOK CITY):smt073

 

there are 2 truck stops just east of I-215 & californai ave. (1300 south). there is a flying J on 900 west and 201. northeast intersection of 201. there is also a truckstop southside of 201 next to rocky mountain raceway. take south frontage road between 5600 west and 7200 west traffic lights on 201. but that one don't have much to offer. (parking and shower and gas is about it).

there are tons of restaurants on 5600 west. between 2600 south and 3500 south. along with walmart. about 1/2 mile west of the WVC school.

panda express, la frontera(i think it's called) taco bell and taco time. mcds, arbys, burger king. and some other choices. plenty to pick from.

there are also plenty of places on 3500 south. going east and westbound. and construction is wrapped up. shouldn't be too hard for a truck now. between redwood road (1700 west) and 5600 west. also, just east of I-215, 3500 south exit. there is decker lake street. applebees and couple of other restaurants. north side. there is also a movie theater close by there. and a nice mexican restaurant on south side of 3500 south.

tons of places that are close to school. for those interested in food information.

####!!!!!! Came so close to making it home tonight to do a 34 hr reset. Haven't figured out just how this routing sol is suppose to work but for some reason, their going to rte me upto and across I 40 to Memphis then down 78 to Birmingham to pick up I 20. Does that make sense to anyone else? Anyway, would have taken right thru OKC which is home, am in dire need of a reset, had just enough hrs and maybe the time to make it there. THEN- - -it hits the fan. Got my tlr hooked up and was doing the pretrip, 1 mkr lamp out and a brake light out and now the biggie. Drum roll please!!! The tlr slide, on the drivers side, has come out of the keeper and is actually sitting on top of the pin ther by not allowing it to be retracted and the slide moved. GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! Wrecker has been called to lift it up but due to the hollerday, going to be a 3 hr wait.
Oh well, can make it home in the morning and still get a reset in.

We might hit the Petro at Little Rock AR tonight for some dinner, depends on how the Turkey looks.

 

dont do the turkey at the petro get on the cb channell 19 and see if the bbq man is open today if he is he dels to your truck i can promise you its the best bbq youll ever eat and tonight after dark theres a little ##### tonk in the far right corner behind the idle air called jimmy doyles country club they have a live band and its a pretty good place to go and kick back and get out of the truck for a while. really nice wait staff and the locals are real friendly. you can walk there about 2 mins from petro. make jj take you out for a change
