Next time he calls, will you thank him for lunch this summer, and tell him I still owe him lunch at Johnson's Corner next time he's coming through. I switched phones and his number didn't make it to my new phone.
By the way, he's easy to find: Just look for the Central truck parked in the front row near the buffet line!!

Nope your missing the point!! JJ and I both love the lifestyle, we will both miss it when he gets back in the army full time!
I will give you a for instance we arrived in Cheyenne Wyoming on Sunday night it is now Tuesday and we are still sitting in Cheyenne WY, Thats 39hrs we could have had another 1000 miles or so if our FM was doing her job!
It is totally different for a company driver, you get 2200 miles for the week you will still get a paycheck, we get 2200 miles a week and we owe Central money. -
I am starting to believe that meat loads are bad luck for me. 2 out of 2 have incurred nothing but issues.
Currently sitting at the Flyin' J in Kirkersville, OH. Had to get the meat load I was under repowered. Hit some nasty fog leaving Dodge City on Sunday Morning. Visibility felt like 150ft, and the temp was around 26deg. Trucked on very lightly for 150 miles to get thru it and only accumulated .5in of ice on my mirrors, resulting in losing about 2 hours due to that silly time/speed/distance mathematical relationship.
Ended up shutting down at a TA just a bit short of St Louis, the one right before the weigh station on 70. Did a better than average pretrip since if the weigh station was open you're forced to go in from that onramp and went on my way.
A few hours later a passing truck (imagine that) tells me that it looked like something fell off my trailer, huh? He get's up beside me and says he's not sure what it was but I was missing my left rear trailer marker. So being a good little driver, I pull off at the next ramp and take a look. Sure enough... the marker light and ABS light are gone and wires dangling. So I look for anything else that might be questionable, modify my mac9, contact OTRM, go to nearest TA, get fixed and figure out how this messes up my 02.
No matter how I worked it, had to have 10hrs off, either straight or split, so arrival at 02 was going to be 4 hours late.
Called my FM and let him know what was going on and suggested a repower unless everyone could live with a 4 hour delay on the 02 and 03. I kept heading east and heard nothing. With 1.5 hours left the call comes in and of course I passed where the swap would take place by 65 miles.
I get back to where the swap is to take place and can't find the driver for 1.5 hours, he was in the sleeper and didn't think he could answer without leaving line 2. Now it takes another 1.5 hours to sort the mess out on his end and finally swap loads.
Another adventure complete. Looks like I'll fall just short of 3000 for the week. So now on to beautiful historic Harrisburg PA for a 99 and a chance to stop denting my 70. -
1bad is heading to the house now. Should be here sometime in the morning. Sorry to hear you guys are still sitting Jess and JJ that is never good to sit that long! All I can say is enjoy the down time together. Be safe out there on those roads I know they can't be good up that way!

Well Ladies and Gentlemen, I finished training, teamed up with a good friend of mine, and was given a 2007 KW T2000 w/ 570k miles. I'm at home right now but we have run approximately 2000 miles in it and we are having a few issues worked out while we are on hometime that were uncovered during our escapades. Hope you all are doing well. =)

Got to hang with River runner for just about two full days down in Fontana, he's my kinda guy & hope to hang with him again soon.
Almost got my hands on a black 780 while I was down there, KC thought it would be a better idea to give it to some upgraded trainee... I really don't care for KC much. -
I probably saw some of you guys in Fontana and didnt know it. I just finished training there on Monday and going to the dmv tomorrow for our license. Today we had a BBQ catered in the shop because the corporate big wigs came to visit.

What Brick has failed to mention is that the 780 was absolutely dripping wet when it left Fontana. Brick had been drooling all over the thing for two days!!!
(It was nice) -
Well came back out today and my very 1st thing was a swap. Got the load and talked to the drivr and he had been having problems with it. So started doing my thing and I had problems with it.
PAY ATTENTION CLASS AND REMEMBER THIS, DON'T JUST LOOK BUT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Problem, can't get the reefer to set at 28 degrees. 27 was as hi as it would go. Start running around like a chicken with its head cut off, flipping thru menus, checking codes and all that good stuff. Step back, scratch my butt since that must be where my brains went, and really, really looked at things. Something didn't seem quite right but danged if I could figure it out. Called road assist and was talking to them when they told me that the tlr temp was 80 degrees. DING DING DING!!!! Finally figured out the problem. Some jack ### had gone into the microprocessor and changed the temp settings from faranheit to celcius. No wonder I could never get it to 28 degrees. -
I don't really see why that was necessary at all sir.
