Tell me about it, my co-driver and I got a load to a Walmart DC in Cheyenne, WY out of Clearfield, UT. It was 480 miles, we sat at the terminal until 4pm the night before the drop and still ended up sitting for 10+ hours waiting to unload.

1bad didn't make it home today after all on his way back to Chicago. -
I have been running around good ole' Iowa today.
Delivered last night at 2300, got up this morning and received info on where to go for an empty.
Did a drop and hook (a whole whopping 80 mile run). Then got another load. Deadhead over, hook that and drop at receiver. Then got on my third load of the day in our terminal. But no bills in box.
They sent word out to driver I was looking for them and I waited an hour. Still no bills.
Then I found out that they were looking for the wrong driver. The one that had the load last had been fired today, and we looked all over and the bills are gone.
So waited some more to get papers I could use to cover the load. Now I am off for Columbus and my home terminal. A nice easy 500 mile run tomorrow with a window to drop whenever I get there.
Sitting in Wolcott now. Did not feel like braving the Iowa 80, so at the Pilot across the street. I may do some shopping in the AM though. No reason to rush.
I will probably get a Mass run for the weekend to get home. I need a reset.
Got a message earlier (Why are you not idling your truck? It is less than 20 degrees. Fuel is cheaper than a jump) LOL
Talk about funny company policy's. If they would get ICON on these things they would not make us Idle when it is cold. But they are too cheap to pay for it. -
Great I hope to see you there, I am shooting for the 11th as well. just have to forms to be faxed from my doctor and should be good to go. -
Heading to Galion OH -
How is the Medical insurance with Central? what is the cost for employee and spouse, and how long is the wait? what is the cost for prescriptions? if anybody could clue me in i would be grateful. thanks

I am at the J north of Columbus now. Dropped that load and hooked another headed to PA. Hopefully will get a deadhead home from there or a load to home.
I am crossing my fingers, I need a restart.
Then I will get to see how they do with Christmas next week. Last year 100% of the drivers in my fleet were home for Christmas day at least, most getting a few days. It is the only guarenteed holiday we have at Heartland.
A little sitting here and there this week, but I still think I averaged over 400 miles a day, only home the one 24 hour streatch since I went out after Thanksgiving. I averaged over 500 a day for the first week and a half.
I kind of like running less miles for the same money I was making at Central. It was like this at my last job also. -
beboppinbigun1 Thanks this.

I guess I couldn't get out of going to Long Island. Looks like I'm picking up some bread and taking it down Alabama and truckin thru the midnight hours again.

Now on the road with the spousal unit. Stopped at the TA in Parowan, UT. Will be in lovely WVC tomorrow. Load delivers Saturday afternoon in Corinne, UT. Wonder what the chances are of dropping the load in WVC?
