Yes, you will need something all they give you is a room smaller than a jail cell with a roommate, mattress and frame. The rest is up to you. Good luck in school and keep us posted.

1bad will be in Ft Worth sometime on Monday. And hopefully back in Atlanta by Thursday at the latest!

And shame on you for doing pre-trips what kind of truck driver are you anyway?!?
Ok I'm off to bed going shopping with my Daddy in the am then start baking tomorrow afternoon. I need sleep now!

Be safe out there everyone the country seems to be getting hit with snow. Everywhere but here of course.

Jess, It was great talking to you today we so gotta do that more often!

Been here almost 2 years now & as far as how things are going...

Not good, but also not too bad. I think its going to get real bad after the 1st of the year, but that's just me.

There are times I love doing this & there are times I hate it, but it beats sitting in a office every day. Central is a starter company, do your time & hightail it to a better place if you get the chance.

What to do what to do, Central and Stevens both have approved me, I don't see much differance in the two. A few minor differnaces in training, stay out with trainer longer with Stevens, Central pays a little better in training. Both "starter" companies so niether one is great.

Well thats good to hear..Most newbies get mad one or two times then get mad and leave. There will be good and bad times. Just if you ever get flustered out there dont let if affect your driving ....EVER

Sigh :(, sure am hoping that its just because we're close to xmas, but the planning here is REALLY sucking big time. Finally got a preplan while I was waiting to unload at wally world. Its got a 48 hr pickup window and doesn't deliever till the 22nd. If I can pick up early, 1 of 2 things is going to happen, either I'll try and get wally world to let me deliever early or I'm going home for 24 hrs.

Sure made a mistake coming to our Tx yard. Lots of trucks here. Parking is at a premium and even had to get out and measure the width of where I wanted to park, just to make sure I could get in it. Hey, got 4 inches to spare on either side.

I would suggest a 20t bag just because you may be going to school in CA but you never know where you will end up when your out with the trainer. And with the winter the country is experienceing already better to be safe than sorry. The truck could break down and you may want that warmer bag. Just my 2 cents.

Looks, like 1bad will need a reset around Tuesday so he may not make it home for Christmas after all. May end up getting stuck in Ft. Worth. We will just have to wait and see how it all pans out!!!!!!! And lots of praying going on in my life this week! I really want my baby home next weekend!!!
