So, were you the driver that dropped this load off? Because that's the only way you would be able to say for certain that it wasn't overweight.
I've driven for Central for too long to believe "Oh, my truck's lighter" is the reason. It's a possible reason, but with Central? Not likely to be the reason. Lack of money and ignorance are way more likely to be the reason. -
Have you been sitting on hold with Central a lot lately? Because "don't refuse loads!!!!!one!eleven111" is Central's favorite thing to say. What you're neglecting to see is first, you're on a training truck, so if you're hot hitting almost 4000 a week, you don't upgrade, and second, company drivers aren't able to refuse loads. Sure, sometimes you can, but for most loads, you're stuck with what you get. So, "don't refuse loads and they'll pay you back" isn't true. Central's not going to reward you with a decent load if you suck up the crap miles. your driver manager might try and get you loads to make up for the short milage, but not all Dms do.
-
Or, you get decent milage with too much time on it. We had a 750 mile load, picked up friday and delivered Monday. We left the house Sunday afternoon, after picking up on Friday. Now we're under a 1200 mile load that loaded out yesterday, and delivers on Friday.
I really can't complain right now though, I feel awful. Instead of driving my pretty red truck, I feel like she's run me over :/ and I've felt this way for months. I think it's time to finally hit up a doctor and see what's going on. -
Where are these loads? My problem has been medium size loads with not enough time on them. For example on my last load if it was preloaded and I deployed the missing rocket booster from this W9, ran 65 for exactly 10 hrs 58min then deployed the missing parachute and stopped wherever I was at when 11hrs hit, the load would still have been late. Also my countless hours spent at 01's and 99's. Of course your experience may vary.
Parked at the hook in Cheekotah, OK. Disasterous load succesfully repowered. Maybe there is a load heading to that mythical land out west for me?
Day 52, +8 past requested hometime.
I think the armadillo is having a nervous breakdown. He twitches and whimpers a lot lately. I think the roadkill comments got to him. -
Have you mentioned you're way past home time? Sometimes unless you turn into a nag, they will keep you out until the cows come home.
Tell your armadillo it's all okay, and that he should just hang in there a little longer. That's what I end up telling Awesome (the porcupine) on a near daily basis. The poor thing's too scared to come out of the sleeper. -
You re the one who came on here assuming and we all just told you the truth.

is central's training center in georgia open and taking students yet?
-
You are not even worth disputing this issue with. You need to get your fact straight before you say things. A rider made the comment you posted to not a driver she has never driven. Please do not direct anymore of your stupid comments to me.

Yes the traning center in Conley is up and running. I noticed your in Cali/ar why would you want to come to Conley. SLC is a much better facility! Just curious!
