Widow, listen to your doc girl, better to be laid up now that to not heal and suffer for ever.
Well i am one step closer to driving i got my CDL permit yesterday, just have to get my physical and will be all ready to start school. Thank you again to y'all on this thread who have gave me such good advice, when I told the recruiter at Central that i had decided to go to school at the local community collage he was very sarcastic, oh well. Glad that I made the decision not to go there. i have been getting some good feedback about the school I am attending so that is good. Be careful out there we have snow and ice here in the Memphis area today supposed to be bad through tomorrow.

Taking a few days off at my parents in Aiken, SC. Ya'll be safe, be good
-
I have been stuck going back and forth in WI and MN for the last 2 days.
No fun at all.
It was -16 last night headed accross 94.
Going back to MN tonight, probibly another Kmart load tomarrow evening out. I would at least like to be running some days again. I do not sleep well during the day unless I am totally wiped out. -
Thats ok ChromeDome, I don't sleep well during the days either. Have been running nights for over a week and it really drained me out. Picked up my beer load in NY the other night and promptly got lost trying to get out of there, even with a map. Such a stupid little thing like one side of the street being named differently than the other side. After a 6 mile detour, coming to a T intersection, making the turn and then backing up, finally got back on track. Met the guy I was swapping with in MD about 0930, slept about 4 hrs, got up, then crashed again and slept all night. Good thing I had a 16 hr window to pick up cause I slept right thru both my alarm clocks.
I too have a KW. Has 495517 miles on it and am going to hate having to give it up later this yr, even for another KW. Haven't had many problems with it and most pof the ones that I did have should have been taken care of during regular maint. Most of the problems have been with the APU and bad maint. to none. I've got 42336 lbs on it right now and it was pulling the hills of PA on 81 like a champ.
The tv. Have a dish just like they put on the houses. Have a pole mounted to the passenger grab rail that I mount it to. Since the elevation and azimuth will change everywhere you go, you'll need to know the zipcode of where your at. Its in the truckstop book. Set your elevation, mount it on the pole, aim it the general direction, then rotate it while listening to the audible indicator. No local channels of where I'm at and for some reason, wasn't getting my sisters either. Don't know why at the moment. Haven't stayed stopped long enough since the meat plant to make it worth my while to set it up again. Heading to Ft Worth and will probably hit a meat plant after that.
Sure would like to stay in the south for awhile. Getting tired of this cold. Here its nasty in that area at the moment tho. -
The pleasure was all mine! Thanks again. I really enjoyed meeting you. -
Oh gosh.. I should have let em fire me and stayed home.. Here it is.. Freeing rain.. Snowing like a freakin blizzard.. And I'm headin to jonesboro ar.. I'm going 20mph and my trailer that's empty.. Hits a bump.. And bam.. Its sliding up next to me... So I took care of that... Then I get to my 01..
Everytings okay.. I go to scale.. And WOW.. I'm 86,010 on gross... Atleast 2'k is snow tho.. Still.. 84k?? That's crazy.. So I go back to the 01.. Yard dog says.. Pull up yander for a minute..
Well needless to say.. His sillyness has me pull in grass.. So I get stuck.. Have to wait 2 hours for a tow truck to pull me outta grass.. Cuz I'm to heavy to push myself out.. And I'm layin in 9 inches of snow.. And their callin for another 6 tonight.. Dunno if ill make it to streetsboro, oh by sunday or not.. Weathers crazy and I'm not endangering my wifes or dogs life.. Or anyone elses life.. So I'm stuck.. 60 miles from my house.. For god knows how long... -
speaking of fun in winter wonderland....

Baack Thanks this. -
Wow buddy.. You drive thru rain.. Then drive thru -5 weather for a day? I'm curious.. Where did u get ur w9 from? It looks like a classmates of mine.. He abandoned it inbetween pa and nc.
-
Well, I was scheduled to Central in Riverside on Monday for training, but it's not gonna happen. Having issues that prevent it right now, but that's a whole other story.
Anyway, I got a call from a man named Carlos, the orientation coordinator. I explained my situation and he couldn't have been more understanding. He passed the info to my recruiter (Jenny) and assured me that I would have my training spot wheneve I was ready.
I might feel like just a "driver bot" later, but today I felt like I genuinely mattered to someone at Central. God knows I need all the good news I can get.
On another note, to the Central veterans, do you guys do many runs into Texas, specifically the Houston and or Beaumont areas? Just curious. -
Your classmate had an ice covered W9????
I picked it up in Conley back in November. It belonged to a little old lady lease operator from Pasadena. Low miles and even got a free balloon with it and a carfox.
All that ice was accumulated From Clinton, OK to the state line on 44.
