I worked for central transport and ill keep the bad to myself, but i did work year round with only missing maybe a day or two during the slow season. They use handheld for scanning everything also i would check into companies like conway or fedex for freight work just an idea.

i guess it depends on your terminal manager. mines was a real ahole, but for the most part they offer you as much as the other freight companies. plus you have to use their ins called cherokee which nobody seems to know about so good luck on that , and the ins is also provided by the owner of the company. Which sucks unless you can find some one who will use it or knows about it. If you have a problem with your terminal manger or supervisor they dont do nothing for you at all. One more thing all those signs on the walls that sit around the office, well you better read them cause if not they will use it against because you didnt know a procedure that was posted on your terminals wall.... I have been there and it was the worst exp in my life !! I use to be a correctional officer in md supermax for four years and that job was a whole lot better than CENTRAL TRANSPORTATION

I worked for Central back in the 80's when they were still Teamsters. Even back then, the equipment was old, and worn out. You had to carry a tire iron to shut some of the trailer doors.
I haven't been impressed by what I've seen going down the road lately.

Depends on your start time , but even still you might have to load your trailer which for the most part i didn't mind . As far as unloading yeah and that varies from time to time.
