What's the jerks name who owns them? Something like mahoney or mahony, he owns several trucking companies and if I'm not mistaken he owns the Ambassador bridge doesn't he? He's in all kinds of legal trouble with the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan if I'm thinking of the same guy.

I bet we know each others faces. I ran out of Kenosha. A lot of times we would run together with the Milwaukee drivers. Yep they did have a bunch of kids running the docks that thought they were very important. They had that little guy that was a ex-marine in the little office. I was one of the ones that was backing out of a trailer when the yard dog pulled my trailer off the dock. I come within inches of death. I come unglued. :)There was another driver that got killed in a motorcycle accident after work. You remember that?

I've been in worse. Puppy dog single axle Sterling's with 350 HP Mercedes with a Meritor 8 speed. They were beat to hell and back with minimal maintenance. No passenger seat is how plain they are. Every now and then I got stuck with a 20 year old Volvo that was even worse.

Yep that's the same owner. He got in lots of trouble years ago over copyright issues with CF. When he switched to his new style logo they were real close to Cf's logo..
He paid out big bucks in that deal.
Then in the early 80's he bought what I would call glider kit van trls.
    Just the box.
Then used old wheels and axles plus old landing gear. Then tried to list them for tax reasons as older trls.
State of Mi. went after him big time.. Again he lost..

there is an article somewhere about the owner, and what a rat he is. supposedly he wont even talk to his 3 sisters.

He has some sort of legal relation to Jimmy Hoffa as well, I have read that Central was basically owned by J Hoffa Sr through his wife, and when he disappeared, she wanted to get rid of it, and sold it to this Matty Moroun guy in the 70's, and somehow he is still related (maybe married to a sister or something)...

Yeah, Mattie Marroun, owns the Ambassador bridge, at one time, was the largest landowner in Michigan, may still be. When I worked there, one old timer told me he owned dozens of apartment buildings in the Detroit area, and gave key people at the car companies free rent. That's one reason Central hauled a LOT of auto parts.....

His compainies own alot of old property in the Detroit area. Houses / warehouses and vacant lots.
Reading an article about him last year, he is waiting for the big turn around in Detroit.. Yea when pigs fly.
Alot of the properties are near the city airport and the one called Willow Run airport. Used to be alot of air freight flown out of there years back.
