    PM Sent.

Something isn't right. Someone needs to really look at it for you.

The shop I sent you also does truck frame stretching. If Mike or Brad can't figure that out for you, something isn't wrong.

Centramatics might help if it really is a balance problem. You've also rotated sides, narrowing it down to an issue only on the right. And you mention that it started with a major pothole strike. All things point to something loose, bent, or broken on the right side.

That said, I've had a run of trouble with Yokohama RY617 steers self destructing after about 50k miles in a similar fashion as you describe. Those were balanced when mounted and have been equipped with centramatics as well for no benefit. However, the problem existed on both sides, and on on two separate but similar trucks (04 and 05 FL Century). Not enough miles on the one that got Firestone replacements to confirm a tire issue, the other truck is getting dumped in a trade so I'll never know on the Yoko warranty tires. It's felt like they're starting to do the same thing, but I just might be too sensitive to it. No visible wear defects yet.

red, yokohoma do that, about any t/a or petro will tell you that , last set of yoko i had looked great then went all to heck in in a couple of weeks or so. i got 2 bridgstones and the t/a guy asked me how many miles i had on the yoko's i told him 55,000 . he said he had seen many many sets of yoko steers do that. after no front end work, i switched to bridgstone and they are flawless after 75,000 miles

did your yoko start wearing diagonal lines across the face?

No. They started cupping on the edges, both sides of the tire. A guy I spoke to at the shop in KC I used to inframe my 04 had just come from a 100+ fleet that had big problems with Yoko steers. They claimed some sort of molding defect, indicated by some missing sipes in the edge tread. I didn't see that on my tires. Add to that, I've had some weird wear on inside drives (TY577, all 8 mounted at once, with cats eyes inflated to 90 psi per their own load chart). The trailer tires have been adequate, but definitely no value. The Michelin XT-1 recaps I've been replacing them with over time have lasted 2x longer for 1/3 the money.

I think Yokohamas just suck. So those were the last ones I'll ever buy.

To add: on the drives, I've spotted a few trucks with the same ones at shops and truckstops all wearing just as badly as mine.

Try running more psi in the tires. Steers and drives.

Have you been traveling threw a lot of side winds making you counter steer to stay straight TransAm Pete?
