I mean..they OCCASIONALLY give us time to shower so yeah we park lmao we usually time our stops for when everyone's leaving though, between 8am-10am. We get in and out before anyone knows we're there.

Got a lovely 200 mile dead head to pickup then woulda taken that to jopmo for my hometime early. In other words free home time... routed myself the 200 mile dead head... came out to be really about 235 and because of backroads and no real interstate etc to take advantage of. Google maps and GPS wanna tell me it'll take almost 5 hours... been waiting on the board for 3 and a half hours just to call my FM to tell her I won't be able to make the deadline for pickup that they needed because my 14 is catching up to me and only got 4 hours left..

Talked to FM, which it just boiled down to something from the last time I worked here. Signed a paper agreeing to work on it and that was it. Easy peasy. Time for laundry and get out of Dodge! Well..Joplin..but whatever.

Smh barely avoided a deer this morning. Had to turn into the left lane a little bit as I didn't have enough space to slow and stop safely and he did not seem to wanna move. Then later a poor raccoon came out of the bushes on the opposite side of the road and darted out in front of me and tried to avoid him best I could. Turned right towards the shoulder a little hoping he woulda stopped before getting to me. Never ran over an animal before in my life. Feeling bad for the dang raccoon. I'm off to bed now. Relay in Kc yard this evening then pickup at kc tomorrow morning. Shut down at the pilot in Brooklyn Iowa
Cerberus XVI Thanks this. -
Don’t ever swerve for an animal. That’s how you end up on your roof.
