We always followed ours as well, I think it boiled down to our FM at the time being an A Hole. He's the one who gave me 2 write-ups over the course of a few months when previously I had no write ups the entire time at CFI. So @Ultratowel you plan on staying at CFI for the foreseeable future then?
Yeah, having a bad Dispatcher/DM can make or break a good driver. Some can take their boss pushing them all the time an knit picking everything they do. While others, such as myself, just tell me what you need done an leave me alone. If I have any questions or concerns I'll let you know. If a problem comes up you'll be the first to know. Can't stand someone birddogging me while I work.
That's exactly me! Give me all the relevant info I need and send me on my way. One of my favorite FMs I ever had, we only talked maybe 2 or 3 times a month. Because she left us alone to do our job and we only called her when we needed something that only she could do. Was a beautiful thing haha
I know dry van has became mostly drop n hook, but does cfi pay detention if you get hung up in the dock live unloading?
As long as the policy hasn't changed since I left last year, they give you detention pay after 2 hrs of you appointment time. Not sure what the pay rate is anymore tho.
Cool, ask my recruiter an she said she would check an haven't heard anything back or been able to get in touch with her. Thank you
