cfi is crappy co don't work for this stupid co they really live up to there name

    You got to remember, I'm nowhere near 100K miles yet. I take a bunch of time off, and all kinds of other crap like a high percentage (15%) going to 401K. Even still, 75K is the LOWEST gross linehaul run. Everything else is over 100K. My current run is 422 miles a night and I still gross 1.5K with full benefits and 401K.

    Lol.

    Extraboard sleeps in hotels vs a pilot parking lot.

    No truckload benefits come close to LTL benefits especially cost.

    Extraboard tops out at .72 a mile.

    Extraboard is home EVERY WEEKEND not 3 weeks out for 1.5 days off.

    You wanna make 115k? You can. You wanna get lazy like @KaoMinerva you can do that too.

    There is no comparison. LTL after a few years on the board you get a bid. Then you can make 6 figures and go home EVERYDAY. CFI your home everyday as well... When you pop then brakes and turn around and look at that bed.

    Why stay on the road weeks at a time for 50k a year.

    Its a life style otr driver is fir me ltl everyday being at home i would go crazy i do BELEAVE that otr driver should make 100k a yr but i take 5 days of a month ....as for benefits health insurance is ok not the best ...

    Extra board IS like pseudo OTR. You just have a set date to go home and they won't FORCE you to go over that. If you want to stay out, they won't stop you. It's nothing to make 2K a week LTL. 3000 miles is a guaranteed 2200+. I just did 3K miles last week because I was bored at home. I'll show you tomorrow evening.

    Nope triples is a waste of time. It only pays 2 cent more. Not worth the headache at all. Just pull doubles, break and hook sets, and you're golden. Here's a simple breakdown.

    Imagine running dallas to Albuquerque. That's 650 miles right?

    650*5... 3250 miles for the week
    3250*52... 169000 miles for the year
    169000*.⁷⁰... $118000 gross

    That's without extra runs, holidays, breaks & hooks. You also have guys that take vacation and still run a full week.

    But a driver is not walking into those runs are they not put on a board and work on a dock at first at 18.00 a hr

    The point is, a bid is the long game. Extra board is whatever you want it to be. While @jtaran06 was running hard in the north east, I was home or in the west. You write your own check extra board.

    Great thing about it. You basically are a otr driver out 5 home 2. Later in down the road you become home daily with a knock out bid

    Here's the best part. NO CUSTOMER DOCKS. No 4 hours in the door to get empty then company say no load till tomorrow. All 100% terminal to terminal 100% drop and hook. Never get that at a truck load place.
