Your first thread dealt with your issue regarding being told where to fuel per company fuel stops and lack of trip planning to result in being late somewhere.
And now this?
I cannot help you if you and your bosses fail to communicate a problem like a breakdown and reach a understanding of what needs to be done. Generally with you telling them the truck is broke and with them telling you what you need to do. Sometimes very simple words are used as one speaks to a child to get it done.
Regarding the 64 mph truck, that's common. We had a 63 mph team truck and barely stayed on time ourselves. This has been going on since the mid 90's and in those days were doing 55 governed.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 10, 2018

We've removed quite a few posts in here, so let's knock it off with the writing criticism, please. If any of you are really having that much trouble understanding, simply skip the thread.

I'll personally 'vouch' for the OP on this thread.
Preplanning properly as a driver for CFI has little to do with how this company treats it's drivers; specifically in regards to pay, conditions and overall respect.
Seriously, what can a company expect in return when it pays it's solo drivers an average salary of about $350.00- $750.00 per week for 12-14 hours a day, 7 days a week?
If anybody claims a salary otherwise, then they're being less than honest.
In fact, this company pays so poorly that it is easily replaced; so if you are still working there, leave. Now.
And if you are considering working there... move on.Last edited: Feb 10, 2018

If they will dispatched me like that, I would've called the receiver and explained to them what the situation is and attempt to give an ETA. Someone else probably messed up their time do they needed you to repower the load. Marten used to do that crap sometimes, but they would send over a $100 PO just because so it was ok. I hope it works out for you driver. I didn't mean to come off ### a shaft earlier.

When I got dispatched on loads like that I just gave them a ETA to shipper & ETA to customer after pu. Someone has to cover the load & whining about schedules is rookie stuff. You work your hours & no one has a legit beef with you.
With experience you know #### can go pear shaped quick & for whatever reason you might get called on to put out a fire. Usually your dispatch is just following orders & it's not personal.
If you followed procedure & still got gigged, then you get a new dispatcher or find a happy place to work.
The most important relationship in trucking is your truck, your DM & your payroll. The rest are like? well I can't remember who they were LOL. You have got to manage that or your life will be full of hate & unhappiness.
