    The truck driver may have been already been slowing down. Either way,he tried to maintain his lane, before and after the collision.

    This seems to happen more with plastic bumpers. Cars don’t bounce off them like they do off of a steel one.

    One of the first things I did when I saw the first plastic bumpers was think/say now they will get into the tires and make the accident worse.
