There is nothing really tough about chaining. The first few times it will take longer until you get the hang of it. The important thing is to take your time and do it right, then drive a short distance and retighten them. I have done it so many times it only takes me about 15-20 minutes to throw 4 chains. What sucks is the chainup areas are usually slushy so I use rubber boots with thermal socks when chaining up. Trucks are easier to chain up than 4 wheelers in my opinion.

Same basic principles though......lay out the chains, driver over em', wrap & cinch?

Not tough at all. Dirty, cold, wet would sum it up. If you can keep your chains sorted, untangled in a dry box it would make life a hell of a lot easier. Try chaining up when they are frozen together, rusted and woven all together like a plate of spaghetti!

It's more of a pain/chore than anything else. Slushy chain up area, etc. Carrying rain pants and rubber gloves/boots helps.
Someone had a link to an excellent chain-up tool. Can't seem to find it at the moment tho. -
