The front motor mount bolt broke on our Freightliner Classic with series 60 engine. Anybody know how difficult this is to fix? Suggestions on how to get the broken bolt out and how difficult it is to get to it?

    Thanks!

drill it out with left thread bit. really it is some pain, but if you do it carefully thread will be ok in engine block. If you damage thread rethread it with +2 mm bit.

Broken bolt is the usual thing if bolt was loose.

I'd advice you to check all bolts. I use blue (not red -permanent) theread lock. Just pull bolts one by one, cleane with solvent bolts and engine block threads, put a drop of thead lock fluid and torq bolts

If you are talking about the bolts going up and down then you will have to remove the pulley and dampener if the head broke off. If you have access to something to lift the front of the engine, then you should be able to lift it and get the bolt out the back side of the dampener.
    Just a thought!

Don't think it fails but very cheap and fairly easy to replace on a Columbia...

You would need to lift the engine and that might be hard without an engine hoist of some type.
The rest of the job could be done with hand tools.
