I have been thinking for the past month about a change of career and I have decided that trucking is the way to go. I have a TDI school near me in NW Florida and I am trying to determine the best way to transition into trucking. I'm 43 no health issues, no dl issues, no criminal history, and good credit. I am unsure where to start and I feel going through the TDI makes the best sense for my CDL. However, I am unsure what companies I should look at. I currently live at 45 mins from Mobile, AL. Any advice?

A whole month!
This business is serious.... I hope you take the time to reflect on the ramifications of this decision.
My advice:
Read this forum.
Contact companies you would like more information about. Visit terminals talk to terminal managers, human resource managers, etc and get an idea of what the job entails. Ask them for a recommendation for a school.
Organize all this information in some kind of fashion that will help you make a decision.
Pick a school that your top 3 choices will accept.Lifechange05 Thanks this. -
