Change of Duty Status

Dave, has the OM team been keeping you up at night? Sure, they have a responsibility to make every effort to ensure driver and company compliance, they may be taking it a bit too far. Might even consider it harassment or coercion.

I just get the feeling that if you ask this question to 20 different DOT Officers you’ll likely get 20 different answers and those answers will be applicable in 12 different ways based on the particular circumstances.

I really like the question though. I wish this site had a resident DOT officer who’d field these questions.

 

There have been several through the years, but they get so much grief that most have left and any that remain post very infrequently.

 

That’s a shame.

I think next time I go through the Banning scales I’ll stop in and ask. Whata think...they’ll taser me, or immediately go throw me into a level 1 from hell? LOL

It is. You're supposed to change to line 4 and then to line 1 or 2 so that it flags it. You've been doing it wrong.
