Only additive I ever used (before I this egr/scr burden) was wal marts brand SuperTech 2 cycle Marine oil. Half quart in each tank every fill up. And it worked wonders.

Yeah when they have signs up prohibiting changing oil in a truck stop parking lot because some stupid ### thought nothing of dumping oil in the parking lot or down a storm drain. Really who can't schedule and work things so they can once in a while get by their home base to take care of oil changes and such anyways?

I change my own. buy it by the drum (55gal.) dump old oil in another drum. have an oil collection service buy it off of me to get rid of. my local dump will take the old filters after I let them drain for good long while.

I think I've said it before, but that burnt lube comes in handy around the ranch. As a penetrating oil, weed control, lighting brush fires, on top of fence posts, mixed with the ag diesel....
