Changed the stereo out that was in my 2000 W900L to an Alpine CDE-124SXM, the old stereo was one that the previous owner had put in the truck and it was crap, the wiring was all spliced by just twisting the ends of the wires together and that's it, so I took the harness all out and purchased a new one and put back in the truck and wired it all up with the Alpine harness. And now I'm not getting any sound at all!! Any suggestions? I have gone thru and rechecked all my connections and have double checked to ensure all wires are color coded matched, all is a go there. Speakers were working on old stereo, not getting anything on new stereo

the speaker wires are green/green+black,white/white+black,purple/purple+black,gray/gray+black.if you take a 9volt square battery and touch the white/white+black to + and - on 9 volt for example, you should get a popping sound in a speaker.if not,try different combos of wires till you hear "pop"repeat till you get 4 sets of "pops"those are your 4 speakers.you do this with radio unplugged.good luck.
