Split sleeper is useful but for newbies, it could be one thing that if not logged correctly, could cause a violation. Just better to not allow it than have people do it incorrectly.
Changing again, the rules change but we're not told til after.

Before they finished loading my trailer, (was supposed to be a drop and hook), my wife called me to tell me delivery date changed from when we had booked it. Delivery date got moved out 5 days, on a 500 mile load that I was planning to deliver the next day. -
Sheet happens.
Sometimes pick up times change due to a shipper delay. Happened to me to this weekend.
I was pulled from the load though but got it again when it was reposted with a different time.
Better to know ahead of time than deadhead there and get screwed.
That's why i dont like booking far out, wayyy more often I get screwed by a shipper not having the load ready when they thought it would be. -
They want to put up all sorts of rules the driver has to follow yet they'll still pull this crap. It just happened to change after you already got there, yeah right lolCaptainDaveG, Dogals right foot, PoleCrusher and 2 others Thank this. -
Do IC's have access to the general crossroads page that company drivers would see?
Theres a link to what amounts to company policy on social media platforms.
Basically states that unless SNi has it posted publically, dont post internal stuff
I would assume that business contracts between SNi and its ocntractors might be considered proprietary. As hyperaware as they seem to be with what gets posted here, THIS trained steering wheel holding monkey suggests an edit , and any other specific contract postings are taken to PM. -
If we can't use Line 5 for personal conveyance under non-work related circumstances, then why do we pay "bobtail" insurance for that exact reason? Bobtail insurance basically covers you as a car....which is exactly what you are on line 5...a 13'6" 3 axle car....hence the "need" for bobtail insurance. If we can't use our vehicles as it's clearly laid out in the FMCSR, then why are we paying for it?
drvrtech77, Home_on_wheels and Pork Chop Express Thank this. -
