I do not have the old key. I also do not wish to change out the outer shell of the door locks if possible, just the inside parts. I have the new parts from Freightliner, but no instructions. Searching, I see a thread about changing the whole thing on a KW, but I would like to only change the innerds if I can.

What tools might I need for this and how do I go about it?

    Thanks.

Screwdriver and some needlenose pliers. You remove the door panel, undo the clips holding the lock cylinder in place, and push the old one right out. Installation is the opposite of removal.
