Changing power steering pump on ISX, need advice

    My gasket in between the power steering pump and compressor started to leak and i want to change it. Can you give me your advice on whats the best way to do it and what i should pay attention to? My engine is 2006 ISX 400st

    easy... take out the 2 mounting bolts, remove gasket n clean gasket surfaces, install with new gasket. There's no coupling to fall out or anything, ps pump has a splinned shaft that goes into the air comp, doesn't have to be timed or anything.

    This RTV is it silicone? My friend told me that he putted a thin layer of silicon when he changed his

    Yes, it is a specific style of silicone.

    any of you guys know how much fluid is in the power steering system? i want to change mine but have not idea of volume.

    Hi to every one I have isx 2009 and my power steering goin hard to turn when I was driving it and lost coolant smells like it so I check level out f power staring I it was all withe and thick so I am thinking is water but from where ???

    Power steering cooler failure would be my guess.
