Changing trailers, what to look for in a flatbed?

    Cheap as in $4k for the short one and $13k for the long one. I’ve put $5k in the short one and about $500 in the long one. I bought and built a day cab for about $13k all in. IMG_2471.jpeg

    13 for that east was a deal,I like those old easts, they pull good and put up with the beating they get pretty dam good

    My last company job I was given a brandy new 2015 East 40’ frameless and from day one If you were on anything but black top you were throwing a strap over the rear to get the barn door to shut

    I used a ratchet binder to pull it shut. If I left it tipped up just a bit the door would ride up and grab the top, if not it'd bounce back at me. And it was a full frame.

    Never dealt with barn door crap, didn't have that kind door on our trailers
