For on the road emergencies I carry a spare already mounted to a wheel. For swapping tires at my leisure, I pay a local guy because it's cheap and saves me time.

For those of you that do not have a jack.
For the tractor drive tires no trailer attached. Flip the switch to deflate your airbags. Place 2 ton car jack stand, large block of 8x8 block of wood, or something between the axle and the ground on near the tire you want to remove.
Flip your airbags to inflate and that set of tires will be off the ground ready to removemotocross25 and Grubby Thank this. -
This doesn’t make much sense to me. Cheap is buying off brand used retreads. Mounting them myself saves money which can go to all sorts of other things, and even into my pocket which is what this is all about.Jazz1, Grubby, 6wheeler and 1 other person Thank this.

If you buy the equipment to change tires. You probably will rotate your tires more often, helping them last longer.
On the road I hire it done.Grubby and rollin coal Thank this. -
I can't visualize how that works...Oxbow and RV transporter Thank this.

Well, I'm a little guy, and wrestlin' with truck tires is one of the hardest things I did in trucking, especially on a hot day. Switched 8 drive tires once, thought I was gonna die.

I've been thinking of doing a YouTube video on it but it's easy and fast and it works.
I'll take a picture of it this evening and post it so everyone can seeDSK333 Thanks this. -
Cheap is spending time on something you can have others do so you can spend your time on other things to make more money. The money you save after the time you spent is not worth it on things like tires where there can be problems and more wasted time to fix because tires are not what you do for a living.Carolina Dreamer, Vampire and DSK333 Thank this.
