I will take pic, when I get my truck home. it is what I would do to any truck I owned. one day a fellow o/o called me when on a run, luckily I was only 5 miles away, he blew his 1" hose from manifold to air comp. that hose if fails will leave you on the side of the road if you do not have a spare. when you eliminate the hose you eliminate any concern of it, cause it's not there & not needed to be there. on my detroit. with the boost sensor right there near the outlet, if the hose would fail, there goes boost press along with it. with the filter kit. it mounts on the intake side of comp & you buy a 4 " round filter that snaps in & out of place when ever you want to change it. no tools required. another great thing that many have never known, is if air is bypassing the compressor like it was mine, it puts pressure on the whole engine. when I capped off my manifold & stopped the air it just about eliminated all my blowby( I always wondered, why after inframe it had so much blow by) it also had stopped the very tiny amount of oil coming out of stack. putting my ear to the filler tube before was as if I put my ear to a gigantic sea shell. I will try & find a pic of this set up online somewhere. i'm sure you can go to trucpro & ask to see a filter kit. it definately has more than 1 benefit.
