To make $50,000 first year a driver you will have to get $0.41 cents per mile and drive 120,000 a year. That’s 10,000 miles a month or 2,500 miles a week.

 

DRIVER SHORTAGE IS FAKE NEWS. Industry is slow. A company desperately hiring drivers now is probably running driver off with low pay, too little/much work or bad conditions like not fixing broken trucks.

I'm surprised there even is a chauffeur license any more. Usually we talk about CDL A & B. I would not trust 2nd-hand information. Talk to the company and find out the pay & why they can't keep drivers.

 

I think they mean CDL, just chauffeurs an old term. I'd talk to the drivers, not the company.

 

What state is your cousin and you in?
In Michigan you really need one for under 26k vehicles and under 10k trailers.
