Didn't landstar offer some kind of help?

They used to offer truck buying. One guy used to be on here taking advances for fuel to haul loads.

When sammons was around. You were buying the truck from them. They paid the repairs which were added to the truck loan.

Well....I only said that in jest to lighten the tone of the thread. I don't really disagree though. I'm a little more of a silver lining kind of guy at times. Many will call the donors stupid. I choose to look at it as a bunch of people with good hearts and good intentions. I guess they felt led to help him. I find it kind of cool. I suppose everyone should receive a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card every once in awhile. His was a big one. He may not be that fortunate in the future so maybe he will make it count. Anyway, I give my kudos to the donors for having good intentions irregardless of what the situation is.

Some of them have. I've heard of companies give out loans to get truck repairs, only for the driver to leave without paying them back.

My opinion….if he uses the money to repair his truck then those who donated have done nothing except give a drunk a drink. He still has no savings, he still has high credit card debt (according to him in other videos) and fixing the truck will only prolong his failure.

If he truly wanted to use the help given him he would line up a good job, scrap the truck since it’s paid for, and use the money to clean up some of his debt so he has some breathing room in his life.

What's gonna happen on the next breakdown or needing set of tires? Another crying begging video?

    From his GoFundMe page:

"I don't have much of a choice but to use the money raised to clear my debt on the truck and to put a down payment on another one."
    LOL.

That is why I paid for all my repairs out of pocket with dsv/Sammons. Because yes they would pay for it and then they would charge 12% interest on however much they paid... alot of guys didn't realize that, but it was all written in the contract that most never read.

I would never do a lease purchase ever again, but it is funny I was able to be successful with that and then completely fell flat on my face when my equipment was paid off and had my own authority!

What happened? I think the last I remember was you asking how to get a truck from Midwest to AZ and then you disappeared from the forum

Was a combination of everything really, went out in my own after leaving dsv in 2021 with a paid off truck.. by the time I got all the paperwork filed and irp/ifta setup it was 4 months later, bought a trailer in the meantime, that I've never run before, and knew nothing about working the RGN market.

Finally got it on the road and that's when fuel hit 6$ a gallon .. lol
Started having problems with my truck and trailer, threw more money at it. Rates started their decent into the toilet and eventually blew a head gasket in that truck.
At this point I had bled so much money out, no longer had enough money for a rebuild, so I took that truck to auction yard and went and picked up the truck I have now, threw a couple dollars at it. And then it decided to start burning coolant too.
At this point the rates are so bad there's not enough money to keep going, so I parked it and figured I will live to fight another day.
Spent a couple months away from the business and trucking as a whole, to renew my soul and then ultimately decided to go get a company ride to put my bank account back together and pay off my debt that I owe.

The money comes alot slower now, but the dripping faucet will eventually fill up the sink. is my mentality. I was hoping to spend about a year as a company driver, and get back going again, but i underestimated that.
Still need to fix my truck too, started tearing into it a couple weeks ago, but it's just hard to spend much time on it when I get a 34 at the house, and have other things to do as well.
My goal is to have it back on the road next year sometime.
And not make the same mistakes twice !

I'm so sick of these cry babies acting like company drivers instead of business owners.
