"At the crossroads tonight, where you flagged him down...there was a bus load of kids comin' from town and they were right in the middle when Big Joe topped the hill. It could of been slaughter, but he turned his wheel.
Well Joe lost control, went into a skid and gave his life to save that bunch of kids...and there at the crossroads was the end of the line for Big Joe and Phantom 309!"
Gee...did anyone check his logbook after the crash?7122894003481 and Raiderfanatic Thank this. -
I'm an o/o and run totally legal. It is frustrating to have shipper and receivers wasting your time but this is why the OOIDA is fighting to get it so we can charge for anything over 2 hrs. I hate the waiting game as much as anybody but just keep running legal. If your boss doesnt pay you enough for running it right then you dont need to be there. I dont keep track of an hourly wage as Im sure mine would be pretty bad but truckers arent normally paid by the hour so I dont keep track of it. Is it really worth losing your livelyhood over? With the new cvsa 2010 its going to catch up to you

If you people need some pencil pushing good buddy in Washington D.C. who more than likely never sat day one in a big truck to tell you when its time to pull over perhaps you should not be driving big trucks....

And as far as log books go and running legal....it's not that hard. But sometimes you have to squeeze the numbers from time to time. Anyone that says otherwise....no comment.Les2 Thanks this.
