I'm getting a 95 flash code when I check the check engine code on my 07 386 pete with a C-15 Cat.
All I can seem to find on it is conflicting info on the IVA and an oil pressure switch for the IVA.
Last week I had to replace the oil pressure sending unit by the oil filter because it went bad and was leaking oil.
But the check engine light is still on.
Any suggestion on where to find the IVA oil pressure switch?

I'd also like to know how to clear the code to see if it comes back? It came on before the oil pressure sending unit was replaced.

    Also,
If anyone knows where to get an Actual Service Manual, I'd like to know where to get one. I've had one for my personal P/U truck and it comes in super handy to have one around for stuff like this.

Here's a link to the C15 Diagnostic codes:
    http://www.dieselsolutions.com/caterpillar/c15/troubleshooting__c15_onhighway3.html

Link to a ONE TTR thread where that 95 code is discussed... there are others... Perhaps you've already seen them all, and that's what's confusing?
    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...heelers/77860-c15-engine-diagnostic-code.html

I just googled "caterpillar c-15 service manuals" and came up with a slew of results, a couple of which are below. There are many more...

It appears the manuals can be gotten in bound paper or download form.

As to the accuracy or completeness of the documents or reliability of any one seller.. No clue. There seem to be PDF's which can be had for the time it takes download. Again, buyer beware.

Or, buy from same people for less on eBay, evidently:

    Thanks Strider.
I searched for Peterbilt service manuals and kept coming up with with sales and pay sites for repair advice.
Never thought to just search for engine manual.

    Appreciate the info.

I ordered the service manual on cd from servicemanualPro.com. If I fix one problem with it, it paid for itself.

Intake valve actuator is a major pain in the nuts on the C-15, I fought all last summer with fault codes in the 90's I think I had them all at one time or another..

the C-15 has tested my loyalty to Cat..

Call them I have found they are the best Cat shop in the country. Ask for Todd he is the service manager. BTW I love my C-15 if you learn how you have to drive them you can get great Fuel mileage. My average for mine without propane is 8.16 mpg and right now with propane 8.95 mpg. Great engine.

Variable valve actuator has its own oil press sensor and oil regulating valve. the press sensor is located at the right rear corner of engine and the oil control valve is located in the rocker cover base between the cylinder head and valve covers. Also need to pull covers and check for ANYTHING loose on vva. Watch for broken bolts ,loose solenoids.

my dad has a 379 with a nsx c15, recently it had been throwing a 93 code, turns out the intake valve actuator solenoid was going out on #3and4, pretty simple to change them but you need a torque wrench that is acurate at low in/lbs
