I never even heard of them, so I looked them up out of curiousity. It seems to me like a typical 40 channel CB radio, maybe has a neat back lit faceplate, seems like it would work perfectly for use in a truck.

I would make sure you have a good power wire, and that you positive and negative wires are hooked up correctly.

make sure you have a good coax cable and that your antenna is in good shape and not broken off or cracked.

Only time I ever saw a Cherokee CB was in the movie "Joyride". I believe they used a 150 and it was a knock off of the Cobra 29.

Sorry I can't say how good or bad they are, best thing you can do is try it out. Heck it's free.

The Cherokee Nightrider 150 was not a knockoff of the Cobra 29, the Cherokee 150 was a SSB unit with an illuminated face.It looked similar to the Cobra 148 GTL with differences on the inside.

I've known several people who used the Cherokee radios. Noone of them were to impressed with the radios and got rid of them pretty quick. Seemed like most of them stayed broken for one reason or another. FWIW.
