Chicago seems to be getting its share of inclement weather the past 3 months or so. This is the 6th post I have had to make regarding weather and Chicago.
There is derecho type storm in western Iowa at the moment making a beeline for Chicago. I dont know the windspeed but there is significant rain- that combined with rain from the previous storms will cause flooding along the way in certain areas.
This is how the 100 MPH storm started. In fact that one was not even forecast- it came out of nowhere. So keep an eye on this and if things get dangerous take cover. Lock the truck, get under the covers, call dispatch and tell them you are not moving until you feel like it. They give you any flak call 911 and file an FMCSA complaint.
