Nightwind, I started with them 22 years ago, they trained me, got me my CDL, I stayed with them a year and moved on, they will have a better support system for you, what is going to set you apart from most euro drivers that go thru these shady schools is you will actually get trained, not like the Amerifreight driver the other night at the Iowa 80 that took an hour to back into a straight in spot, good luck to you

So where did you end up going Nightwind? I wouldn't drive for West Wind Express mainly because their "terminal" is in a bad part of town and very tight. I'd be scared to leave my car there while on the road not to mention the clusterfack of trying to maneuver a semi in that area.

Nightwind8830 and TruckDuo Thank this. -
too much financial bs going on right now to afford to quite my job and start out at $300/week for training . My choice will be Roehl when i can actualy afford to go to their orientation, their hometime options are exactly what i want. i also looked into local places like ABF and Estes because they also sound like a great opportunity for a new driver .

I'm in Viking Training School right now. And our class is to meet up at West Wind today. I'm here as we speak. Lol. But o haven't walked in yet. The place is right in the center of a bad neighborhood. That much I know so far. Any info I gather, if you haven't gotten any yet, I will share with you when we're done here. I decided to sit outside and wait till I see one of my classmates. Lol
