    Chicago Owner Operators:
When doing local FTL runs in or within 50 miles of Chicago, how often do you find yourself empty before a move, or after a move, looking for another local run to do before you make your scheduled pickup of the day, or after completing your scheduled order?

Ex 1. You have a FTL run to pick at 2pm, but its 6am, and you are looking to do a local FTL order before that scheduled pickup? (Obviously, preferably with the delivery of this new order being close to your later scheduled pickup location)

Ex 2. You get done with your local delivery sooner than expected around 11am, and do not have another order scheduled until the next day and are looking to do a quick local FTL order?

Its called "Connections". You have to know people and broker's. And have your own authority. At least it works for me in So. Cali. Everything you just describe, I do in between load's.

I assumed he is a broker looking for O/O in Chicago to move his stuff before/after their regular moves for the day...
