Chicken lights on KWs/ Petes

It’s usually a 2 wire continuous strand. Look at the front. There’s a broken wire in there somewhere before they get to the lights

 

I know the ones on my 97 are scotch locked together, they like to quit and cut out and generally be a pain in the ###. They're usually grounded right to the panel in my experience, each light is actually individually grounded where it's screwed on. If the whole side is not working I'm guessing your hot wire is broke somewhere.

 

Of course they used crappy connectors

 

That's the way they usually are. I dont know if they're ever a factory installed option.

 

W9 and T8 they used to be installed at the factory if you ordered them

 

Is the factory into this half assery? Mine was probably not ordered with it.

 

Those type of connectors are the worst. 100 percent hack job right there. Especially this time of year when the truck is literally getting bathed in salty brine daily.
