I tapped the Crown when I turned the lights off in the shop everytime I worked on it..... It's what kept my sanity

They have a shrink wrap tubing with glue inside. I’ve used the new type thin solder no crimp style connectors. I like them. Make a mechanical connection by hooking and twisting the wires, splitting strands 2-3 ways and twisting them back. Nice inline splice. Slide whole connector over it. Shrink it till you see solder melt. I’ve been using liquid tape, over the whole thing, then shrink tubing over it all. Heavy duty. Good if needed. My Ignition solenoid wires are prone to corrosion. Fixed them that way, using heavy duty eyelets. Never corrode again. Other times, I just twist wires and tape. Lol. It depends on time. Important things are done right. Usually!
