And almost all noobies want to hear nothing but positive answers to their questions.
Then within 6 months, they get smacked with a 2x4 when they see what this is really about !!!!!
And please, do not let them know the failure rate is better than 8 out of 10 !!!!!!

Can you name some names for us? I'm curious as to who I should listen to and who I shouldn't?

-
I was really joking, I just forgot to put the laughing guy in there...
kdryan Thanks this. -
Ok then...

I am so glad you put "almost" in there or I might of taken offense and gone off crying
. I try to read all the replys out there in the newbe areas, some I reply to some I don't some I just wanna put in smarta## comments and i've noticed that after about 10posts they tend to go off topic. Darn terriorists can't even keep em from hijacking forums

Thanks for proving my point, kdryan. To answer your post, I do and have searched the forum for previous posts that may provide me the answers to the questions I had/have. Second, I wasn't talking about whether a reply was right or wrong for my tastes. I was speaking of those here who did not even make an attempt to be helpful in their answer. They only made some dim-witted, asinine response. Do you have a problem differentiating between the two? Who said anything about people being mean? Did I say anything about Mr. Meany Super Trucker was bad and mean to me...boo.woooooo? You sure are reading more into my original post, aren't you? I didn't say anything about what kind of driving anyone does. I was referring to professionalism and maturity in posts to us who are looking for answers. Oh, I AM sorry oh wise one; I didn't realize everyone already new the answers to the "obvious third grade questions" about the trucking industry before they -and you - got started. I better get down to the library right away, and look in the childrens section for the I Wanna' Be a Super Trucker picture book! Some of the questions "that have been asked about 200 times", may not pertain to a person's particular situation. I guess you didn't think of that? It is funny how when someone has nothing to say, it is always "you may want to go work at Starbucks." They sure must have a lot of ex-drivers working for them! My post must have hit too close to home with you. Are you that Diesel Ducy feller'?

From the 11 that graduated in in my class at my cdl school, only 3 of us are still driving. Many couldn't handle the lifestyle. Some actually thought that they were gonna get rich until reality set back in. And maybe there are some who were never responsible to begin with. Not enough hand holding for some folks I guess.outerspacehillbilly Thanks this.

Wow, a childish immature answer from someone complaining about behavior on a forum... From a truck driver yet...
You said :
That's a pretty general statement. My response is that EVERYONE has something to contribute and you are dismissing what people say simply because their answers might be a little sarcastic. This is a grown up industry. We are not accountants, we are not lawyers, and we are not priests. People in this industry are sometimes rough and callous, sometimes a little backwoods, sometimes a little uneducated. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE NOT GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO! Try asking some lawyer billing at $600.00 an hour to take an 80 foot rig through NYC in rush hour and see how HE does.
You want manners? Go ask Emily Post.outerspacehillbilly, mysticguido, Everett and 1 other person Thank this. -
Was this about manners?
