well I just said that because he was wondering about possible flat spots from sitting. if he cut them like that it is possible driving it could round them back out. but then he woulda shaved them already so they'd be out of round again

Put some Equal balancing sand in the tires... I have it in my drives now and I got rid of an 8 year old vibration...

Take a close look at those Chi-Com tires... you'll see how narrow they are compared to a quality tire...

Well, it's going ot the shop tomorrow to have them all balanced, then I'm putting on my centramatics and having a 3 axle alignment done.

Keep in mind, i have not pulled a trailer yet. I'll let you guys know how they do

My Brigestone 24.5 will bounce a little bobtail, under a load just fine. I got those Sailuns as trailer tires on a spread step. Put on last June and the front axle will probably need replacing in a month or two. Don't know if a higher priced tire would scrub better or not. With the increases can't really afford to find out. I wouldn't run anything but a premium steer, made the mistake of running Khumo on a steer and had a bad vibration due to out of round. The tire dealer even suggested not to run chinese or korean tires on steer due to being out of round too frequently.
