    We can't even trust people to stay put when they're drinking or keep their knives out of other people's bodies. (Arbitrary examples. Insert any socially unacceptable behavior here.) Does that mean all vehicles should require a breathalyzer to start and all sharp objects should be banned? I think reasonable laws are necessary for a civil society but if you're trying to outlaw human fallibility, you'll have a job until the sun burns out and you'll never succeed.
