    Still get carded at the store? Have to take your license out of the sleeve for that. Hackers will always be at least one step ahead, if not 5.

    I think the RFID tags have no place in an ID card or anything financially related.

    Barcodes printed in such a way that the ink doesn't rub off after a few weeks/months should be utilized instead. There should be no possible way for an unsavory entity to gain access to my personal data without physically holding the item.

    It's geared towards officials being able to scan an entire street of people at once. If they can't put a chip in you, they'll put one in your ID. Innocent until proven guilty is in the past.
