Still get carded at the store? Have to take your license out of the sleeve for that. Hackers will always be at least one step ahead, if not 5.

I think the RFID tags have no place in an ID card or anything financially related.
Barcodes printed in such a way that the ink doesn't rub off after a few weeks/months should be utilized instead. There should be no possible way for an unsavory entity to gain access to my personal data without physically holding the item. -
It's geared towards officials being able to scan an entire street of people at once. If they can't put a chip in you, they'll put one in your ID. Innocent until proven guilty is in the past.
