Chiropractors can sign the DOT physical?

There is a chiropractor at the TS in Laverne, Tn that gives them. After I "failed" several parts I went to a real doctor and passed with no problem. And they are NOT real doctors. Only a two year school to be one, and no knowledge of internal medicine.

 

Do you live in the Nashville area? I'm from Robertson County and lived in Goodlettsville for a few years.

That's what I went to the last two times, she was by the book for everything the first time, the second time she just asked me a few questions and signed everything off after getting my doc's report that it was all true.

What bothers me the most about this is that I deal with applicants who can barely walk up the stairs to my trailer or into the office and down the hall without a need to rest, I can't see how they can pass any physical with those issues, and a bunch have not weighed more than I do.

 

Yeah, I've been there a few times. I moved to Las Vegas not too long ago. Nashville is a nice little city. Almost bought a condo on 2nd Ave, but decided it's time to try something new. Wish I'd bought it now and rented it out.

Big mistake on my part. Just south of the Wild Horse Saloon and on the same side of the street. I worked at Schwerman at the time, so that would have been real convenient.

To drive a race car you have to pass a FAA physical, in which part of that is jumping in place on one leg for a minute. That might wipe out a lot of guys. The hearing test is such a joke. The older trucks are so noisy you can't hear much of anything. I contend most driving is 95% visual.

 

Medical doctors are not really doctors either. Only a Ph.D. or above is correctly called a doctor, most medical doctors do not have that and so are called that as an honorary term.

IMO medical doctors are the quacks, their meds don't work without causing other problems, they overcharge for everything, and they are generally useless at real healing, which they don't understand since it's a business mentality, which you can easily see when they burn your time versus theirs when setting appointments. They are the equivalent of the guy who covers up the oil light on the dashboard with tape, and when it burns through they use heavier tape.

The advice you get from one is usually what their lawyer allows them, so is always too conservative to be effective, in effect you are treated by their lawyer. That deliberately worthless advice comes back to make them money when your health declines as a result, the trick is to make it your seem like it's your fault. Like taking your car to a bad garage, something new will always be diagnosed and need fixed. And those fixes will cause new issues.

Go out and walk hard every day, stop eating #### instead of food, put only water in that water filler hole, and stay away from those heartless ########.
